Daniel 2:36-45, Matthew 4:13-17
Dan 2:44, In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people. It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.
45, You saw that a stone was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands; it smashed the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold into pieces. The great God has made known to the king what will occur in the future. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is reliable.”
Several hundred years later the Lord Jesus Christ appears on the earth, fulfilling prophecy and has the following message –
Mt 4:13, While in Galilee, he moved from Nazareth to make his home in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
14, so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:
15, “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way by the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles –
16, the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”
17, From that time Jesus began to preach this message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
